PUBLIC AREAS AT THE GRC
The Goodyear Recreation Campus is designed to accommodate all ages and abilities.
Areas that are available for public access and do not require a pass include the art plaza, great lawn, and a lounge area with public Wifi.
Art Plaza & Great Lawn
The Art Plaza features a unique art piece titled “Chasing the Stars,” a human-powered kinetic sculpture designed to put people in close contact with forces larger than their own. Weighing roughly 14,000 pounds, this one-of-a-kind sculpture is over 26 feet tall.
Additionally, the great lawn plays host to a variety of public concerts and special events and boasts a large grassy area to run and play.
Lounge Area with Public Wifi
Home to the GRC Welcome Center, the lounge area in the the lobby of the Recreation Center features complimentary high-speed internet, comfortable seating space, and a high top table space for working and gathering.
A pass is required for use of areas past the Welcome Center.
Teen Room & Gaming Area
The Teen Room and Gaming area is available to the public and features state of the art spaces designed to encourage teens to gather for socializing, studying, gaming, STEM activities, and more!
The room is equipped with computers, Playstation 5, XBOX, virtual reality, and Nintendo Switch consoles. A pass is required to check out gaming controllers from the Welcome Center.
Facility Rentals
Goodyear Recreation Campus offers a variety of reservable spaces available to rent for individuals, groups, and commercial organizations.
