FITNESS CLASSES
Explore your fitness journey at the Goodyear Recreation Center. All fitness levels are welcome to all group fitness classes. Instructors provide modifications and encourage you to listen to what your body needs that day.
The goal is to provide a first-class fitness experience for all users and to create a community benefit for all of Goodyear through social support, interpersonal relationships, fitness, and fun.
This class teaches youth ages 12-15 the importance of basic exercise guidelines, gym etiquette and safety. Once completed, youth will be allowed to workout in the fitness center, run the track and take group exercise classes.
Feel stronger and improve your body mechanics, bone health, and muscle mass. This powerful strength training circuit is followed by a stretch session that wraps up your workout.
Barre uses a modern version of ballet training designed to shape and tone muscles and build core strength.
Body Pump is a total body workout that uses light and moderate weights with lots of repetition.
Modified yoga poses that can be done while seated or supported by a chair to make yoga accessible to people who have various physical limitations, or those who find other types of yoga classes too challenging.
Group cycle is a party on a bike that helps improve cardio fitness, burns calories and strengthens the lower body.
HIGH Fitness is a modern twist on aerobics for non-stop cardio and toning experience that will take your fitness to the next level.

GRC Classes FAQs
YES! All passes include group fitness classes. With your monthly or annual pass you can reserve your spot in a group fitness class up to five days in advance using the Goodyear Recreation app. When you purchase a day pass you can also sign up for a group fitness class.
You can check-in for your group fitness class up to 2 hours before the class starts. When you check-in at the welcome center let the team know you are also checking in for your group fitness class. You will be check-in for class and given a class pass to attend the class. When you enter the fitness studio and set up your equipment place your class pass in front of you. The instructor will pick up your pass before class starts.
Take any class that interests you! All fitness levels are welcome to all classes, we encourage participants to modify moves and listen to their what their body needs. If you have any concerns, please consult a doctor before participating in classes.
All participants are encourage to bring water in a plastic container with a lid and a workout towel.
Each piece of equipment has a QR code that you can scan with your phone to open a YouTube video that will demonstrate how to correctly set-up the machine, perform the exercise and safely dismount from the equipment.
