RECREATION CENTER
Goodyear Recreation Center amenities include a multipurpose gymnasium, activity rooms, fitness areas, an indoor walking/running track, and a dedicated space for social gaming & teen activity.
Teen Activity Room
The GRC’s teen room is a place for youth to gather, build community, and come together to participate in opportunities for recreation. This is a safe place for teens to grow emotionally and socially with staff mentors as well as provide teens a space to connect with other teens across the valley using state-of-the-art gaming equipment and e-sports streams.
Multipurpose Gymnasium
The multipurpose gym features over 9,000 square feet of playable space for the community to enjoy. The floor is game ready for pickleball, basketball, and volleyball and feature 6 hoops, with the main court being high school regulation in length.
Elevated Indoor Walking Track
At 10 laps to a mile, the elevated indoor walking track overlooks the pool, lobby, gym, park and many of the other outdoor amenities. At several locations along the track you can see both the Estrella & White Tank mountains at the same time.
Fitness & Weight Training Area
The fitness floor offers a variety of opportunities for all all abilities. New fitness enthusiasts can explore low-impact pieces and easy-to-learn equipment. More experience or seasoned athletes can utilize free weights and specialized machines you won’t find in your typical recreation center. Youth ages 12-15 can use the fitness area upon completion of the online Teen Wellness Orientation.
Our goal to provide a first-class fitness experience for all users and to create a community benefit for all of Goodyear through social support, interpersonal relationships, fitness and fun.
Group Fitness
Our goal is to provide all community fitness users and health seekers a first-class fitness experience and maximize our resources by offering both live and virtual classes in our studios.
Aquatic Center
The Aquatic Center features a zero-depth entry, play pool with play structure, leisure pool, lazy river, eight lane competition pool with diving boards and two 27 foot water slides. Enjoy plenty of shaded seating around the deck and reservable ramadas.
Multipurpose Room Rental
The large multi-purpose room boasts over 3,000 sq. ft. of functional space with sliding glass doors that open up to a private outdoor patio area. Round tables and chairs will be available for set up. A prep kitchen is also available for use.
